Resilient Power in Practice: Lessons Learned from the Field

Wednesday, June 27, 2018 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET

The hurricanes that raged through Puerto Rico and the Southeastern U.S. last year were a serious reminder of the fragility of the centralized electric power system in the face of natural disasters. They also highlighted the importance of local, decentralized energy solutions to keep basic services up and running in an emergency. As hurricane season begins to ramp up again, this webinar will take a deeper look into what it means to design a resilient power system.

In this webinar, Clean Energy Group was joined by American Microgrid Solutions and muGrid Analytics, who have partnered with the Resilient Power Project on several system evaluations. They explained how a project can be modeled and developed and shared some of their experiences and a few practical lessons learned from working with resilient power technologies the field.

Presenters:

  • Geoff Oxnam, Chief Executive Officer, American Microgrid Solutions
  • Dr. Travis Simpkins, Chief Technology Officer, muGrid Analytics
