Energy Storage 101, Part 1: Battery Storage Technology, Systems and Cost Trends

March 26, 2019

1:00pm — 2:00pm ET

This first in a multi-part energy storage webinar series will cover the state of the technology, energy storage systems and cost trends. The energy storage team at Sandia National Laboratories has combined lessons learned from numerous battery deployment projects and analyses to create this webinar series overview. Future installments in the series will cover such topics as applications and economics, policy and regulations, safety and reliability, and project development, commissioning and deployment.

  • Dr. Imre Gyuk, director of energy storage research, DOE Office of Electricity
  • Dan Borneo, engineering project manager at Sandia National Laboratories

  • Todd Olinsky-Paul, project director at CESA

This webinar is a presentation of the Energy Storage Technology Advancement Partnership (ESTAP). ESTAP is a federal-state funding and information sharing project that aims to accelerate the deployment of electrical energy storage technologies in the U.S. ESTAP is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Electricity, managed by Sandia National Laboratories, and administered by the Clean Energy States Alliance.
