Updates from Oregon, Massachusetts and Connecticut on Solarize Programs
Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Clean Energy States Alliance hosted a webinar to hear updates from Oregon, Massachusetts, and Connecticut on their Solarize programs.
Solarize began as an innovative program out of the City of Portland, Oregon and was introduced to CESA by the Energy Trust of Oregon. The Solarize Portland program was a 2010 State Leadership in Clean Energy (SLICE) Award recipient; read a case study on that program here.
Since that time, other states have used this program to help organize community goals of installing solar through bulk purchasing of PV equipment. We’ll hear from two other CESA-member organizations about their success and lessons-learned with this program, and get an update from ETO on this program has impacted solar deployment in Oregon since its inception in 2009.
Guest Speakers:
- Robert Del Mar, Energy Trust of Oregon, Solarize Southeast (Portland)
- Elizabeth Kennedy, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, Solarize Mass
- Bob Wall, Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, Solarize Connecticut
- Toni Bouchard, SmartPower, Solarize Connecticut
