State-Federal RPS Collaborative Webinar: Cross-State RPS Interactions

Most state renewable portfolio standard (RPS) policies allow for out-of-state renewable energy or renewable energy certificates (RECs) to count towards compliance. New analysis from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) quantifies the extent to which RPSs were met with out-of-state renewable energy in 2012 and 2013. The researchers also provide estimates of renewable energy power flows and data on small-generator participation in REC tracking systems.
