ESTAP Webinar: State Electricity Storage Policies

This webinar, presented by CESA’s Energy Storage Technology Advancement Partnership (ESTAP), focused on the regional and state landscape for energy storage, including ISO regulations and incentives; utility/state regulations and incentives; state policies regarding energy storage; and state consortiums (CA CESA, TX TESA, NY-BEST).This webinar addressed the following questions: How is storage treated by ISOs? Can utilities own storage? and What revenue models exist?
Featured speakers included Commissioner Jeanne M. Fox, of the NJ Board of Public Utilities; David Nemtzow of the California Energy Storage Alliance; and Sheridan J. Pauker, Esq. of the Energy and Clean Technology Group of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a law practice that works extensively with energy storage companies.
Dr. Imre Gyuk, Program Manager, Energy Storage Research at the U.S. Dept. of Energy introduced the webinar topics, and Todd Olinsky-Paul, CESA Project Director, served as the host.
