ESTAP Webinar: Duke Energy’s Energy Storage Projects
Wednesday, November 13, 2013 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Clean Energy States Alliance and the U.S. Department of Energy hosted a webinar on battery energy storage systems.
Duke Energy has deployed six different battery systems that cover a wide range of battery chemistries, sizes, locations on the grid, and applications. These projects are demonstrating how energy storage can create value on the electric grid, exposing what opportunities remain to make this technology scalable, and providing a platform to develop new sources of value. This presentation provided an overview of Duke Energy’s deployed systems and summarized lessons learned and opportunities to make energy storage a valuable part of the electric grid.
Featured Presenters: Dan Sowder, P.E. and Dr. Zak Kuznar, PhD, senior project managers from the Duke Energy Emerging Technology Office.
This event was hosted by Todd Olinsky-Paul, ESTAP project director at Clean Energy States Alliance.
