ESTAP Webinar: Applications for Redox Flow Batteries
Thursday, December 20, 2012 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
A number of companies are developing new stationary grid storage systems based on redox flow battery technology. The technology was pioneered by NASA in the 1980s and has recently begun to see global demand increase as solutions are needed to integrate renewables on the modern grid. This webinar features a presentation by Bret Adams, Director of Business Development at EnerVault, on the opportunity for redox flow batteries and examples of their applications. Dr. Imre Gyuk, Program Manager, Energy Storage Research, DOE and Dan Borneo of Sandia National Laboratory provided opening comments.
