CESA State Leadership in Clean Energy Webinar: Economic Development and Job Growth in Massachusetts and New Mexico
Monday, December 8, 2014 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
This webinar highlighted two winning programs from CESA’s 2014 State Leadership in Clean Energy Awards: Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s Clean Energy Internship Program, and New Mexico Energy Conservation and Management Division’s Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit. In two very different ways, both Massachusetts and New Mexico’s programs have worked to accelerate renewable energy market growth in their state.
Massachusetts’s internship program is supporting both clean energy companies and workers entering the field, ensuring that there will be a ready supply of talented, qualified workers to meet the growing market demand. New Mexico’s Production Tax Credit has encouraged renewable energy development in the state, bringing in substantial private investment which is funding the modernization of New Mexico’s grid, creating jobs, and bringing in tax revenue from land leases.
Guest speakers from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and New Mexico Energy Conservation and Management Division presented.
