Building Community Resilience Hubs: A Conversation with the Asian Pacific Environmental Network and RYSE Center

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET

This webinar discussed Asian Pacific Environmental Network’s (APEN) recently released report, Resilience Before Disaster. The report, which was written in partnership with SEIU and the BlueGreen Alliance, advocates for investing in neighborhood-based social infrastructure as part of advancing climate adaptation and resilience. It highlights two community-driven policy models that can be scaled at the state-level: (1) community resilience hubs and (2) in-home resilience.

In this webinar, hosted by Clean Energy Group’s Resilient Power Project, guest speakers from APEN focused on their experience defining and developing community resilience hubs. The discussion included a case study – the RYSE Youth Center in Richmond, CA – and their efforts transforming the Center into a resilience hub.
