ACEEE Webinar: Emerging Opportunities in Commercial Buildings
Thursday, February 7, 2019 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET
Exciting new opportunities are emerging for commercial buildings to optimize their energy use. These include new and innovative technologies, but also new approaches to system design, building operations, and financing to help building owners and managers to get the most out of key building systems and equipment. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) hosted a webinar featuring three of these emerging opportunities and a discussion of how the building industry, efficiency programs, and policymakers can leverage their benefits.
In this webinar, Clean Energy Group Project Director Todd Olinsky-Paul gave a preview of findings from a forthcoming CEG report analyzing the cost-effectiveness of energy storage, associated non-energy benefits, and the role for energy storage in efficiency programs. For more on the findings of this upcoming report, see Todd’s recent blog.
Other presenters included ACEEE’s Jennifer Amann for a discussion on integrated building systems, and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s Greg Leventis for a discussion on energy service agreements.
