An innovative solar + energy storage microgrid project in Rutland, Vermont will provide resilient power to a community hit hard by 2011's Hurricane Irene. Energy generated from the microgrid will be used to power a local emergency relief shelter. CESA's Energy Storage Technology Advancement Partnership (ESTAP) and CESA member the Vermont Clean Energy Development Fund have been major supporters and co-funders of this project.
