In the first quarter of 2015, California installed 718 MW of solar energy, raising the state's total capacity to 10,649 MW. California is the first state in the nation to reach 10,000 MW of installed solar capacity. California's leadership in solar is not just national but international - the state currently has more installed solar that most countries, including the UK, France, Spain, Australia and Belgium.
