Through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Modernization Lab Consortium (GMLC), the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) has developed electricity affordability metrics at the state and county levels for the United States. On June 14th, CESA hosted a webinar with speakers from NREL and PNNL to introduce a simple spreadsheet interface to map these electricity affordability metrics. *Connecticut*, *Massachusetts* and *Rhode Island* have announced winners of state procurements that will enable the installation of two offshore wind projects totaling 1400 MW. The projects are Vineyard Wind, which will supply 800 MW to Massachusetts, and Revolution Wind, which will supply 400 MW to Rhode Island and 200 MW to Connecticut. Both projects will be located south of Martha’s Vineyard.
