Hanna Jones

Hanna (she/her) serves as CESA’s Project Director for Solar for All. In this role, she supports state efforts to expand access to clean energy by coordinating and implementing projects that increase solar energy adoption in underserved communities. She works with state agencies to help them navigate and leverage federal funding opportunities aimed at solar energy expansion, such as those provided under the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (IIJA).

Before joining CESA, Hanna worked at Sunrun as Senior Program Manager for Grid Services. There, she managed key initiatives to scale Virtual Power Plant programs across the United States and its territories. Her extensive experience includes launching Puerto Rico’s first Virtual Power Plant (VPP), designing customer engagement strategies, and analyzing performance data for solar and battery storage technologies.

Hanna holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy with a concentration in Energy and began her career in the solar industry working her way up from a Canvasser to a Senior position on the Grid Services team.

Outside of work, Hanna enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and quality time with friends, family, and all of her pets.
