Ayana Burrowes

Summer Research Fellow 

Ayana, a Maryland native, completed her undergraduate degree in public policy at the University of Maryland, proudly cheering "Go TERPS!" She began her career in public service with the State's Attorney General's office for Prince George's County and later moved to the U.S. Department of Justice. Recently, Ayana completed her first year at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, where she aims to specialize in the intersection of law and policy in healthcare and environmental law. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Ayana is an avid traveler, always eager to explore new destinations and cultures. She also has a passion for mystery/thriller books, finding both intrigue and relaxation in the stories they tell.
