The Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) Program
April 12, 2017
1:00pm — 2:00pm ET
The Solar Carve-Out and SREC program within the Massachusetts RPS have led to dramatic increases in solar capacity in the Commonwealth. Last year, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) carried out a thorough process, with considerable stakeholder input, to design a new program that would maintain robust growth in the number of solar installations while reducing costs for ratepayers. A new solar incentive program is now in the process of being implemented. Among other things, it seeks to reduce market risk and uncertainty so that incentives will not need to be as large.
In this webinar, Kaitlin Kelly, RPS Program Coordinator at DOER, will describe the context for the program, discuss the program’s design considerations, and explain how the program will work and be rolled out. There will be time for questions from the audience.
This webinar is presented by the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) for the RPS Collaborative.
