Will Solar Save You Money? from GW Solar Institute on Vimeo.

This video discusses key questions homeowners should explore when assessing whether going solar makes financial sense, including how the cost of solar compares to savings from solar, how the federal tax credit works, and the extent to which a homeowner’s electricity bill can be offset by solar.

This video is one in a series of three short videos for consumers who are considering adopting solar. The three videos—Rooftop Solar Financing 101, Choosing a Solar Installer, and Will Solar Panels Save You Money?—provide even-handed information for consumers who are deciding whether to install solar. These videos are designed to ensure consumers make the best solar choices for them.

The three videos were produced by the George Washington University Solar Institute for CESA’s Sustainable Solar Education Project. This project is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative Solar Training and Education for Professionals program. The GW Solar Institute produced the videos with GW’s Planet Forward, which uses interactive media to empower new voices and lead a global conversation on the planet’s future.
